How to deal with severe coking of screw machine head

The treatment method for severe coking of screw machine head can be divided into the following steps:

1. Preliminary evaluation and preparation

  1. First, evaluate the focusing situation and determine the severity and range of coking.
  2. According to the evaluation results, prepare corresponding cleaning agents and tools, such as online cleaning agents, caustic soda solutions, etc.
  3. Ensure the safe operating environment, turn off the screw machine and disconnect the power supply, and wait for the internal pressure of the machine to be fully released.

2. Cleaning treatment

  1. Online cleaning: Use an online cleaning agent to clean the screw machine without removing the head. After letting the machine run for 24 hours, sweep the oil. This method is suitable for situations where coking is not too serious.
  2. Soil and clean: If the coking is severe, you need to remove the head, cooler and oil pipe and soak them in the cleaning agent. The soaking time needs to be long enough to ensure that the detergent can fully penetrate and dissolve the coke.
  3. Calcotic soda solution cleaning: Another effective cleaning method is to mix caustic soda and water and soak the oil pipe and the head in the caustic soda solution for soaking. To enhance the cleaning effect, the caustic soda solution can be heated. But please be careful not to put aluminum products in caustic soda solution to avoid dissolving.

3. Follow-up operation and maintenance

  1. After cleaning is completed, rinse the machine head, cooler and oil pipe with clean water to ensure that there is no residue of cleaning agent.
  2. Dry or wipe the parts with a clean cloth and reinstall them on the screw machine.
  3. Add new lubricating oil to ensure that the oil quantity and oil quality meet the requirements.
  4. Restart the screw machine and check if it is running properly to make sure there are no leaks or other problems.
  5. To prevent recoking, it is recommended to regularly maintain and clean the screw machine, while using high-quality lubricating oil and air filters.
