Air compressor system operation and maintenance specifications

Air compressor system operation and maintenance specifications

1. Air compressor system operation specifications

  1. Preparation before starting up
    • View the shift handover record book to understand the operation of the previous shift equipment.
    • Check the cooling water system: The circulating water pipeline valve should be in a closed state; the air compressor cooling water inlet and outlet valves should be in an open state; the filter inlet and outlet valves should be in a closed state.
    • Check the air compressor outlet valve: It should be closed.
    • Check the gearbox oil level: The oil level should be between 1/3 and 2/3 of the oil level gauge.
    • Inspect the dryer and auxiliary equipment: the inlet and outlet air valves should be in a closed state, and the bypass valves should be in a closed state.
    • Check the automatic drain of the gas tank to ensure there is no dirt and blockage.
  2. Start the circulating water pump to ensure that the water inlet pressure is not lower than the equipment requirements.
  3. Start the cooling tower or other cooling equipment.
  4. Close the main power switch of the air compressor and press the “Start” button. The air compressor should run automatically.
  5. When the system pressure reaches the set value, start the dryer or other after-treatment equipment.
  6. Record all operating parameters of the air compressor and observe the operation of the equipment.
  7. Monitoring during operation
    • Operators should always pay attention to the meter readings, especially the readings of barometers, thermometers and ammeters.
    • Listen to the audio of each part of the equipment. If there is any abnormal sound, shut down the machine and check immediately.
    • Purchase every two hours to record the equipment operating parameters and check whether there are any air, water, or oil leakage in the system.
  8. Shut down steps
    • Disable the dryer or other post-processing equipment.
    • When the air compressor is in no load state, press the “Stop” button to stop the air compressor.
    • Wait for a while (as required by the equipment) and deactivate the circulation pump and cooling tower.
    • Shut off the main power supply (do not turn off the main power supply when not shutting down or repairing for a long time).
  9. Precautions for safe operation
    • Operators should be trained to understand the structure, performance and function of the air compressor, be familiar with the operation and operationMaintenance procedures.
    • Before operating the air compressor system, make sure that the operating room door has been closed, and then start the power supply switch.
    • Use personal protective equipment, such as hard helmets, protective glasses, protective gloves, etc.
    • It is strictly forbidden to operate after drinking, and you must not engage in matters that are not related to operations, and you must not leave your job without authorization.
    • It is strictly forbidden to open the air compressor system chassis without authorization or make any unauthorized changes.
  10. Exception handling
    • In the event of a equipment failure, the machine should be shut down immediately to avoid further damage.
    • When steam, water vapor and air leaks are found, the air compressor system equipment should be turned off immediately and the cause should be found in time.
    • In case of an emergency, press the “Emergency Stop” button immediately to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.

2. Air compressor system maintenance specifications

  1. Daily maintenance
    • Keep the air compressor and its auxiliary equipment clean and regularly clean dust and oil.
    • Inspect and tighten the bolts in each connection to prevent loosening.
    • Check whether the quality and quantity of lubricating oil and coolant are qualified, and should be supplemented in time if there is insufficient.
    • Discharge oil and water from the gas storage tank and oil and water separator to keep the system dry.
  2. Regular maintenance
    • Monthly maintenance:
      • Check that the cooler fins are clean and purge with compressed air if necessary.
      • Check whether the inlet temperature of the dryer is normal and whether the high and low pressure of the refrigerant is normal.
    • Quarterly maintenance:
      • Replace the air filter element (depending on the usage, it is generally replaced every 1,000 hours of operation).
      • Inspect and clean the oil and gas separator filter element.
      • Check the motor insulation resistance and wiring terminals for looseness.
    • Occurrence annually:
      • Perform a water pressure test on the gas tank, and the test pressure should be 1.5 times the working pressure.
      • Cleaning and checking safety accessories such as safety valves, pressure gauges, etc. to ensure that they are sensitive and reliable.
      • Replace the oil and oil filter (depending on the use, usually every 2000 to 30 runsReplace once every 00 hours).
      • Check and adjust the tightness of the transmission belt and replace it if necessary.
  3. Long-term maintenance
    • If the air compressor is deactivated for a long time, the power supply should be cut off and the compressed air and cooling water in the system should be discharged.
    • Completely clean the equipment and apply anti-rust oil to prevent rust.
    • Start the air compressor regularly (such as monthly) and run for a period of time to maintain the flexibility and sealing of the equipment.

3. Other precautions

  • The air compressor should be parked in a well-ventilated place away from steam, gas and dust.
  • The air intake pipe should be equipped with a filter device to prevent dust and impurities from entering the air compressor.
  • When cleaning the heat sink, combustion methods must not be used to remove oil and dirt in the pipeline. Cleaning, tightening and other maintenance work must be carried out after shutdown.
  • When blowing parts with compressed air, it is strictly forbidden to point the air outlet to the human body or other equipment to prevent injury and damage.
  • Conduct safety education and skills training for operators regularly to improve their safety awareness and operation skills.

By following the above operating and maintenance specifications, the safe, efficient and stable operation of the air compressor system can be ensured, the service life of the equipment can be extended, and the operating costs can be reduced.
