Clean compressed air quality standards

The clean compressed air quality standard mainly ensures the safety of air use by controlling four types of impurities. The specific requirements are as follows:

  1. Particulate matter control
It is required that the air should not contain solid particles with a diameter exceeding a certain threshold. For example, the electronics industry requires that particles above 0.1 microns be completely filtered out, while the food industry needs to control the number of particles above 5 microns. It is achieved through a multi-stage filtration system, primary filtration intercepts large particles and precision filtration processes tiny particles.

  2. moisture control
The dew point temperature is used to measure the degree of air dryness. The pharmaceutical industry requires the dew point to be lower than-40℃ to ensure that compressed air does not produce condensed water when it comes into contact with drugs. Drying equipment removes water vapor by adsorption or freezing to prevent pipeline corrosion and product moisture.

  3. oil control
The air is required to contain no liquid oil droplets, oil mist and oil vapor. Electronic chip manufacturing needs to control the oil concentration below 0.01mg/m³. Deep purification is achieved through oil-water separators and activated carbon adsorption devices to avoid oil contamination of precision components or food packaging.

  4. microbial control
The pharmaceutical and food industries require compressed air not to carry microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. It needs to be treated through sterile filters and ultraviolet sterilization devices to ensure that the air points in direct contact with the product meet sterile standards.

This standard is formulated in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization ISO 8573-1. Different industries can select corresponding control levels according to process requirements, and build a clean air supply system by combining air compressors, air storage tanks, coolers, filters, dryers and other equipment, and Regularly verify air quality through particle counters, dew point meters, oil content detectors and other equipment.

The gas production at 0.8mpa of a 22kw air compressor is 3.6 square meters. What is the gas production at 0.6mpa?

According to industry data and theoretical calculations, the gas production of a 22kW air compressor at a pressure of 0.6MPa is about 2.4 cubic meters/minute (i.e. 144 cubic meters/hour), which is lower than the 3.6 cubic meters/minute at 0.8MPa. The following…

What is the air pressure of 8kg?

Among the barometric units, 8kg usually refers to 8kg/cm² (kilogram force/square centimeter), and the conversion relationship between this unit and megapascals (MPa) is: 1kg/cm²≈0.1MPa. Therefore, the air pressure corresponding to 8kg/cm²…
