Is the air compressor oil filled or oil-free?
Technical description on compressed air system selection
In the process of selecting compressed air system equipment, companies often face the choice of two technical routes: oil-free lubrication and oil-free lubrication. The two solutions each have technical characteristics and differences in application scenarios. Enterprises can make scientific decisions based on actual production needs.
The oily lubrication technical solution realizes the lubrication and cooling of moving parts through lubricating medium, and has the characteristics of high energy conversion efficiency and strong equipment durability. This type of equipment is widely used in conventional industrial fields. Its compressed air needs to be processed through supporting filtering devices to meet the air consumption standards of most production scenarios. Standardized lubricating medium monitoring and replacement mechanisms need to be established during equipment operation to ensure stable operation of the system.
The oil-free lubrication technical solution adopts special structural design and surface treatment process to prevent the lubricating medium from contacting the compression chamber from the technical path. The compressed air output by this solution is of higher purity and is especially suitable for industries with strict air quality requirements such as food processing, precision electronics, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. However, it should be noted that the energy efficiency performance and long-term operation reliability of oil-free equipment need to be comprehensively evaluated based on specific working conditions.
It is recommended that enterprises conduct technical demonstration from three dimensions: first, clarify the specific requirements of gas terminals for oil content in compressed air; second, evaluate the operating costs of the entire life cycle, including energy consumption, maintenance frequency and consumables consumption; and finally combine on-site installation conditions and operators. Level of personnel skills, choose solutions with higher technical matching. Both technical routes are in line with modern industrial production standards. The key is to establish a gas supply system that is deeply compatible with the production process.
